Today, we begin our journey with the very first one: the mysterious hidden room at coordinate [06,04].

The Mission: Forcing Our Way into Room [06,04]

The core idea is simple: we need to find where the game stores our location data and then manually change it to the coordinates of the hidden room.

Step 1: The Reconnaissance - Pinpointing Your Location Data

First, we need to give the game two different data points so we can compare them.

Start the game and teleport or travel to any distinct location. Let's use [00,06]. Once you are there, save your game. Close the game and find your save file. Make a copy of this save file and name it something like save_pos1.dat.

Relaunch the game. Now, travel to a completely different location on the other side of the map, for example, [17,02]. Once you arrive, save your game again. This will overwrite your original save. Make a copy of this new save file and name it save_pos2.dat.

You now have two save files representing two different locations on the map.

Step 2: The Data Dive - Analyzing the Save Files

This is where we become data detectives. You will need a simple file comparison tool or a hex editor to look at the differences between save_pos1.dat and save_pos2.dat.

When you compare the files, you'll notice that very few bytes have changed. After careful analysis, we've found the jackpot:

The memory addresses 0x07 and 0x08 in the save file store your character's X and Y coordinates on the map.

In save_pos1.dat, these addresses should hold the values for [00,06]. In save_pos2.dat, they will hold the values for [17,02]. You've found the key!

Step 3: The Leap of Faith - Modifying Your Coordinates

Now for the magic.

Take your most recent save file (the one where you are at [17,02]) and make another backup of it! This will be the file you edit.

Open this save file in a hex editor.

Navigate to the addresses 0x07 and 0x08.

Change the values at these addresses to our target coordinates: [06,04].

Change the value at 0x07 to 06.

Change the value at 0x08 to 04.

Save your changes to the file.

Step 4: The Revelation - Entering the Hidden Room

Ensure your modified save file is in the correct game directory. Now, simply relaunch the Öoo Bomb Caterpillar Game and load your save.

Instead of appearing at your last known location, the game will read the modified coordinates and... BAM! You should load directly into a place you've never seen before.
